Hey, this is Ravi and welcome to my web page. I am currently a Senior Diffractive Optics Engineer at Magic Leap Inc., working within the Advanced Photonics Group located in Austin, Texas. Previously I was an Engineering Physicist at Acuity Brands Lighting, engaged in R&D activites at the Advanced Technologies and Concepts Center located in Herndon, Virginia. Prior to that, I was a Senior Research Scientist at ImagineOptix, and also a Senior Research Scholar at NC State University. I am a founding member of the Opto-electronics and Lightwave Engineering Group (OLEG). I received my Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering in 2009 (thesis) under the supervision of Dr. Michael Escuti. Prior to that, I obtained my B.Tech from the Institute of Technology- Madras (IITM) in 2004.
My engineering career has forced me to stay away from home, the city of pearls aka Hyderabad, India. Come to think of it I've been away 40% of my life and hopefully have done something meaningful in that time. Feel free to navigate around. Cheers !
